What is ABA therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientifically validated approach to understanding behavior and how it is affected by the environment. ABA uses these techniques to build social, communication, and learning skills while reducing behaviors that interfere with learning or safety. The CDC notes that behavioral approaches such as ABA have the most evidence for treating symptoms of autism.

Who do you serve?

We support children, adolescents, and young adults. The appropriateness of services for a specific individual is determined during the assessment process by our Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Where do you provide in-home ABA therapy?

Which insurance plans do you accept?

We accept Aetna, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX), and private pay, and we are working to contract with additional insurance companies. Our team verifies your benefits, assists with required authorization requests, and reviews known cost information with you before services begin. Does my child need an autism diagnosis before starting ABA?

Most insurance plans, including Aetna and BCBS of Texas, require a documented autism spectrum disorder diagnosis before they approve ABA therapy, and many also require a referral or prescription from your child's doctor. If your child does not have a diagnosis yet, contact our intake team and we will walk you through the steps your plan requires.

Where does therapy take place?

Vivid provides home and community-based ABA. Delivering therapy within the child’s familiar, natural environment supports generalization, so skills learned in session carry into everyday routines. Specific settings are determined in the treatment plan.

Who provides the therapy sessions?

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) completes your child’s assessment, writes the treatment plan, and supervises the program. Sessions are delivered by trained Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) who are matched with your child, with ongoing BCBA supervision and progress review.

How do I get started?

Contact Vivid by phone, email, or the contact form. From there we collect referral information, verify insurance benefits, complete intake documents, schedule the BCBA assessment, submit for authorization, match staff, and begin services. How many hours of therapy will my child need?

The recommended number of hours is determined individually by the BCBA based on assessment findings, treatment goals, family availability, and payer authorization.
